The Swedish giant Volvo has launched its new Volvo XC60 SUV (Sports Utility Vehicle) in India at a price tag starting from 55.9 lakh. The SUV has the same base design elements as the previous model VOLVO XC90 and has been claiming to be the safest car on road launched in 2017.

On the aesthetic side the basic design of the premium car is that of a regular SUV and few designer curves are added in the rear part. The front of the car looks aggressive because of the vertical solid slits aligned with the large grills. The daytime running LED lights are cherry on top. The alloy wheels and the twin exhaust give a sporty look to the SUV.

A neat and clean Nappa leather finish alongside digital console with a huge touch screen in centre comprises the interior of XC60 SUV. The music system is powered by Bowers and Wilkins audio system. A spacious boot pace is further expanded by an electronic rear seat fold function.
Engine and Power
The new Volvo XC60 is powered by a 2.0 l, D5 diesel engine which produces 235PS of power and a max torque of 480Nm.The 8-speed automatic gear box helps in smooth drive of the all-wheel drive premium car. As of now only diesel variant is available in India and talks are going on to bring petrol variant too.
Besides a list of passive safety features, the XC60 also has active features like semi-autonomous drive system and Volvo’s Pilot assist with an object detection technology for a safe drive.
Volvo XC60 will compete against the likes of AUDI Q5, Mercedes GLC and BMW X3. This premium SUV is available in black, white, brown and grey colour and also includes complimentary interiors.
